Description

Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility in Portland, Maine. This role involves floating across multiple ICU departments, including Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Surgical ICU (SICU), Cardiac ICU (CICU), Neuro ICU, and Intermediate Care (IMC) levels of care. The candidate must have at least three years of ICU acuity care experience, be able to read and interpret telemetry, and demonstrate flexibility in assignments to ensure high-quality patient care across various units.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 3 years of ICU experience, current RN licensure, willingness to float between ICUs including MICU, SICU, CICU, Neuro ICU, and IMC based on experience, and ability to read and interpret telemetry
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with acute critical care in multiple ICU settings and telemetry interpretation skills
  • Float: Float to Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, and CICU based on HCP experience. Floating to any IMC at the organization, patient ratios 1:3 in IMC
  • Additional Information: This is a float pool position requiring flexibility with assignments and the ability to care for patients who are sedated, intubated, and on pressors. Candidates must focus on outstanding patient care, team communication, and individual excellence. Attire should be in scrub colors; open-toed shoes, jeans, and clothing with large logos or profanity are not permitted.
