Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare setting specializing in perioperative patient care. The role involves providing hands-on nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures within the scope of practice and regulatory standards. The OR Nurse collaborates with surgical teams, ensuring patient safety, preparing operating rooms, and assisting with sterile techniques and equipment management.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; active CA-RN (California Registered Nurse) license; current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers; ability to communicate effectively in English; 0 years of experience preferred but not required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in operating room nursing or perioperative care is advantageous.
- Additional Information: The nurse will be responsible for maintaining sterile environments, assisting surgeons, monitoring anesthesia, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should be adaptable to a rotating schedule and possess excellent teamwork and communication skills.
