Description
Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a short-term acute care facility specializing in trauma and pediatric trauma services. This role involves managing adult and geriatric patients in a step-down setting, with a focus on cardiac drip experience including titration and management. The position offers a schedule of 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, scheduled to start on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week starting 10/05/2026 and ending 01/04/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license in hand at submission), at least 1 year of healthcare experience, experience with charting system Epic, and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, community hospital experience, and experience with cardiac telemetry, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and managing complex cardiac patients.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be able to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips and have experience with cardiac drip titration as a hardstop requirement. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services. Candidate must be flexible to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays, with requests for specific schedule or time off to be included during submission.
