Job Summary
Endoscopy Lab Specialist (Location unknown). This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a procedural-based environment focused on diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for conditions such as pancreatic, lung, colon, and gastric cancers, as well as polyps and Barretts esophagus. The role requires technical proficiency in advanced endoscopic procedures and strong collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details

• Position Description: 8 weeks, 10-hour shifts, from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, with varying days off based on departmental needs.
• Required Qualifications: NY state license in hand, minimum of 1 year of experience in endoscopic procedures, ACLS and BLS certifications, and experience with EPIC charting system.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: RNs must demonstrate competency in phlebotomy and IV placement, which are mandatory skills for all RNs at the facility. The position involves procedural involvement with advanced equipment such as ERBE, Olympus scopes, Bravo, VCE, and Manometry. Candidates will be expected to float to pre-anesthesia/post-anesthesia care units if needed, and must be able to bill for up to 5 hours spent on modules; total module time may reach 10 hours.
