Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse - Days - a high-volume medical surgical unit. The role involves delivering safe, patient-centered care by applying nursing principles, conducting assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position emphasizes relationship-centered care, clinical safety, and continuous professional development.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid NYS Registered Nurse license, BLS certification, at least 2 years of medical unit experience, minimum 1 year of travel experience for travel positions (not required for per diem), Epic electronic health record experience highly preferred, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience and/or active enrollment in a BSN program.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience on a 6W Medicine Unit, prior experience in high-volume patient care settings, strong clinical skills in medical-surgical nursing.
• Additional Information: The nurse will perform charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinate supplies and staffing, facilitate patient throughput, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. The role involves active participation in professional development activities, ethics-driven decision making, and fostering a collaborative environment for staff, patients, and families.
