Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a medical unit providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. The RN works within a team to deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care, coordinating closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role emphasizes relationship-centered care, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.

Job Details:

• Schedule: NIGHT shift from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with an average of 11.5 hours per shift and a minimum of 34.5 hours per week, including weekends.
• Required Qualifications: Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of Medical Unit experience, minimum 2 years of RN experience, 1 year of travel experience (not required for Per Diem positions), and Epic electronic health record experience highly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing is preferred; associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
• Additional Information: Performs charge nurse duties, collaborates with management to ensure appropriate resource utilization, documents accurately in compliance with standards, and facilitates patient throughput. Demonstrates clinical competence, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and contributes to a culture of safety and professional development.
