Job Summary:
OR (Operating Room) Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician position available in a healthcare facility. This role requires assisting in surgical procedures within multiple specialized suites, including general, endoscopy, obstetrics, and pain clinics. The candidate will support a busy surgical department, ensuring proper instrumentation, aseptic techniques, and collaboration with surgical teams.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts with start times at 6AM or 7AM; Mondays through Fridays, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA); BLS Certification; minimum 2 years of experience as a CST; must possess a license to submit.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in laparoscopic, cysto, podiatry, ENT, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, plastics, pediatrics dental, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, neurological spine, and robotics cases.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to Endoscopy or Pain Clinic.
• Additional Information: The role involves working in six operating rooms, two endoscopy suites, a C-section suite, and a pain clinic. Coverage is provided by charge nurses and a house supervisor. Call coverage is required, including night and weekend rotations, with specific response times for call duties. Scrubs are provided, and OR-dedicated shoes are required. Orientation includes hospital-wide training and a one-week role-specific orientation.
