Job Summary:
First Assistant Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in operating room support in Kentucky. This role involves directly assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room environment is maintained according to protocol. Candidates must have relevant credentialing, state certification, and prior experience to be considered.

Job Details:

• Position: Operating Room (First Assistant)
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• End Date: 01/18/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid Kentucky medical licensure, credentialing through the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure, certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Certification Corporation for Surgical Assistants (NCCSA), minimum of 2-3 years of recent operating room experience, prior travel experience preferred, ability to work on holidays if needed, and must be able to fill in as needed.
• Additional Information: The role involves assisting surgical teams with tasks such as suturing, providing exposure, and controlling bleeding. Candidate must have completed accredited training via certificate, diploma, or associate degree program, and hold voluntary certification. All travel submissions require at least 2 years of experience. No local applicants will be accepted. All general responsibilities include helping with surgical procedures under supervision and ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of the operating room before, during, and after surgeries.
