Job Summary:
The specialty of Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) is seeking a qualified professional to assist in the surgical environment within an organization. This role involves supporting registered nurses and surgical teams by performing scrubbing duties, maintaining asepsis, and ensuring the proper care and handling of equipment. The position requires collaboration with various healthcare team members to facilitate efficient and safe patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Day shift; 8-hour shifts from 06:30 to 15:00, with 40 hours per week. The position may include 2-3 weekday call shifts and weekend call every 3rd to 4th week.
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist educational program or an approved Surgical Technology training program through military training; NBSTSA-Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); BLS certification; CVOR experience; ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to provide patient care; knowledge of safety hazards and precautions; excellent communication skills; asepsis, scrubbing duties, and equipment care skills.

• Additional Information: The role demands frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. It involves exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and potential infectious materials. The position requires working under stressful conditions, including deadlines and irregular hours. No medication room access or medication handling is permitted. The start date is 10/12/2026, with an end date of 01/02/2027.
