Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position in Palm Springs, California. This role involves providing direct clinical care to patients in a 29-bed Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 1:4. The nurse will support high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, supervising staff and ensuring competency in clinical procedures.
Job Details:
- Location: Palm Springs, California. Employees are instructed to check into the front lobby and ask for Human Resources with security. Parking is available in the employee parking lot.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment duration is from 09/22/2026 to 12/22/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record system; NIH Stroke Scale experience; willingness to float to the needs of the hospital; clinical experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), telemetry, and med-surge settings; capable of assessing, planning, and implementing patient care; supervision of staff delegation; accountability for high-quality patient care; ability to work independently for shift responsibilities.
- Additional Information: The role requires assessment and direct patient care for those in the PCU and Telemetry units. Flexibility to float within hospital units as needed is necessary.
