Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department nurse positions are available in a hospital setting for nights. These roles focus on providing competent clinical nursing care to obstetric patients, including those with complex needs. Candidates will coordinate patient care utilizing the nursing process, participate in multidisciplinary team evaluations, and support patient education and safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 48 hours per week minimum, with consideration for 36-hour contracts.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); at least one (1) year of nursing experience; ability to circulate for C-sections; ability to triage for obstetrics.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
- Additional Information: The role involves assisting with C-sections, triaging obstetric patients, and performing point-of-care testing as needed. The position emphasizes participation in performance improvement activities, effective communication, discharge planning, and culturally sensitive care planning. The assignment begins on 10/12/2026 and concludes on 01/09/2027.
