Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nursing position located in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized critical care for patients with complex conditions such as heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, strokes, and post-surgical issues. The position requires a team-oriented approach in a high-acuity environment, with shifts scheduled overnight.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekends as needed; shifts are scheduled by the unit scheduler and may be grouped or on a block schedule.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification; minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience; location requirement outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; ability to read strips and operate ventilators and high-flow oxygen devices.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titratable drips such as Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, Diltiazem; team player with flexibility to float to other units including Telemetry, Meridian, and Boise ICUs; previous experience in acute care critical environments.
• Additional Information: The ICU maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with one CNA per shift. The unit is staffed with hospitalists on-site 24/7 and intensivists available via telehealth. In-room ventilator equipment includes vents, high-flow systems, and Bipap. RNs are responsible for reading strips and monitoring patients without dedicated tele-technical staff. Orientation typically involves 1 to 2 shifts depending on experience.
