Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart RN in a healthcare setting within a facility. This position involves supporting open heart surgeries, TAVR procedures, and endovascular cases, with a focus on scrubbing into cases and assisting during surgery. The role requires adaptability to a rotating shift schedule, ensuring coverage for varied hours across the week.

Job Details

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with a rotating schedule from 06/12/2026 to 01/11/2027.
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (American Heart Association) certification, 2 or more years of operating room open heart experience, and current licensure to practice.
Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (American Heart Association) certification, open heart and/or endovascular experience, and scrubbing competency for cardiac cases.
Float: Float to General Operating Room (OR), PRN; within Zone 1 (including PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM) if no CVOR cases are available.
Additional Information: The facility performs approximately 30 open heart or endovascular cases daily, with a mix of TAVR, thoracic, and endovascular procedures. Orientation includes a one-week unit-specific program. Orientation is scheduled for the week prior to start date, and clinicians must be in state for this period. The hospital provides light blue scrubs. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. The EMR system used is EPIC. The shift timing is from 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM, with flexible scheduling options. The team includes charge nurses and OR technicians, with call requirements of one weekday and one weekend per week/month.
