Job Summary:
Telemetry (Tele) in a hospital setting, scheduled for day shifts, with a focus on acute care, requires a qualified registered nurse. The position involves managing telemetry monitors, interpreting patient strips, and providing comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be adaptable, team-oriented, and capable of handling multiple discharges and admissions daily.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience; valid license to submit; must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher; willingness to adhere to radius rule of 50 miles; no full-time, part-time, or PRN work with any facility associated with the organization including CHI and Dignity.
• Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience preferred but not required; strong telemetry experience.
• Responsibilities: Interpret tele monitor readings, provide patient care for neuro and telemetry patients, perform hourly rounding, respond promptly to patient needs, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
• Additional Information: The unit cares for neuro patients including stroke, post-neurosurgery, and general med/surg telemetry cases such as joint replacements, fractures, COPD exacerbations, and more. Mechanical lifts are present in some rooms; focus on team collaboration and culturally diverse patient care. Attendance, good communication, and compassionate care are essential. Float to other med/surg units as needed.
• Charting System: EPIC.
• Duration: From 10/12/2026 to 01/11/2027.
