Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) in a hospital setting. This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department, including triage and assessment of patient needs. The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips and passing a dysrhythmia test during orientation to ensure competence. The RN must coordinate care with other professional disciplines and may be placed on call during periods of low census. The assignment includes every other weekend rotation and every other holiday.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license, EPIC Electronic Medical Record experience within the last twelve (12) months, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), MOAB (Mobile Obstetric Advanced Burn) certifications, 0 years minimum experience, and ability to pass a basic dysrhythmia test out during orientation
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in emergency room nursing and telemetry monitoring skills
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The candidate must pass a self-study telemetry strips assessment and a dysrhythmia test during orientation to work in the emergency department. While not part of a regular call rotation, on-call availability is required to respond and arrive on-site within one hour if called in
