Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility. The role involves managing high-acuity pediatric critical care patients and providing specialized patient care in a 13-week travel assignment. The position requires a dedicated RN with pediatric critical care experience and proficiency in managing complex medical cases.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with start date on 10/20/2026 and end date on 01/19/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Current active Texas RN license; a minimum of 2 years of pediatric critical care experience; at least 2 years of experience with pediatric management in high-acuity settings; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; no artificial nails, clean and professional appearance; ability to manage complex pediatric patients including those on ventilators, with pressure lines, and requiring critical care management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with management of respiratory illnesses, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA); familiarity with critical care procedures such as CVP and arterial line placement, neuro assessments, and complex post-op pediatric care.
• Additional Information: The role involves procedures such as Foley insertions, dressing changes, port access, and managing ventilated patients. Floating policy requires travelers to float to NICU, general pediatrics, or pediatric hematology/oncology units as needed. Uniform includes blue scrubs; tattoos should be covered; hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder-length.
