Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) in Sachse, Texas. This position involves providing on-call coverage one day each week and one weekend per month, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The role supports a surgical unit with a focus on robotic orthopedics, spine, podiatry, and endoscopy procedures, contributing to patient care and maintained surgical schedules.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Certification and Experience: Valid Certified Operating Room Technician (CST) certification; no minimum years of experience required.
• Position Duration: Start date 10/19/2026, end date 01/18/2027.
• On-Call Requirements: Approximately 10-15 days of call per month due to case volume and staffing levels.
• Unit Information:
  • Location: Medical facility in Sachse, Texas.
  • Bed Count: 3 beds.
  • Staff: 4 members on day shifts2 registered nurses and 2 certified surgical technologists.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1.
  • Equipment: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Meditech Expanse.
  • Typical Procedures: Robotic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repairs, total joint replacements, laminectomy, kyphoplasty, carpal tunnel procedures.
• Qualifications: Must possess a valid NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification as a Certified Operating Room Technician, with no additional experience required.
