Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in the specialty of Operating Room is needed at a Level I trauma center. This position involves providing surgical patient care across various service lines, excluding cardiovascular (CV). The role requires a minimum of three years of experience with trauma and general surgery, including laparoscopic and Bariatric cases. The assignment starts on 11/23/2026 and concludes on 02/22/2027, with scheduled shifts of 12 hours on days, including weekends.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid BLS certification, minimum of 3 years' experience in the OR with Level I trauma experience, active Illinois license or in application process, at least 50 miles from the facility, and experience with general, Bariatric, neurology, orthopedic, plastic, transplant, urology, trauma cases, and emergency management skills.
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts on days, working from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include working with all service lines except cardiovascular, supporting all procedures listed, and adhering to the unit's clinical and operational protocols.
• Required experience includes contributions to trauma, general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, transplant, urology, and emergency management.
• Certifications required: BLS, CNOR, CST.
• Candidate must have Cerner experience and be able to work within the hospital's scope, including floating within the skill set if necessary.
• Submission must include SSN and date of birth, with two or three interview availability windows.
• All required certifications must be included with the submission.
• RTO requests must be reviewed and approved by the manager; candidates are expected to work two of the three major holidays.
• Candidate must complete all module requirements, including a virtual Day 1 orientation, with deadlines by 4:00 PM CST.
• All submissions require a valid Illinois license at the time of submission.
• Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliates is required and may include shift adjustments based on the facilitys needs.
