Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) nursing position in a facility setting, focusing on adult patient care with a primary emphasis on cardiology and monitoring patients' vital signs and arrhythmias. This role involves providing specialized bedside care, interpreting telemetry data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety. The position offers a night shift schedule in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN); BLS (American Heart Association) certification; 1 year of experience in a telemetry or acute care setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, and ICU competencies is advantageous.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to similar units and patient populations.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit includes a multidisciplinary team with a charge nurse, nurse aides, and in-house hospitalist or intensivist coverage until 6 PM daily, with telemedicine support thereafter.
  • RNs are not required to titrate drips.
  • Tele monitors are basic arrhythmia monitors, with RNs expected to read their own strips and possess fundamental tele arrhythmia knowledge.
  • Orientation includes computer education on day 1, shadowing, and on-the-job training over the subsequent days.
  • Weekend and holiday rotations are required, with opportunities for call or standby during shifts.
  • Clinicians must have prior work experience with a facility within the past 6 months if previously employed there.
