Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nurse position in an acute care setting within a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care for a variety of surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures. The position requires flexibility with schedule and proficiency in multiple surgical specialties.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with weekday and weekend call rotation, holiday call rotation as needed, with float to outpatient surgery as required.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license, ACLS (American Heart Association) certification, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, and at least 2 prior travel assignments. OR experience is required, specifically passing the arms in and out for Robotics. Experience with all specialties for evening/night shift is necessary; only RN overnight roles require 2 technicians.
• Preferred Qualifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), OR tech certification, experience with EPIC electronic medical record system, and experience in orthopedic surgery.
• Additional Information: Outpatient surgery unit with approximately 35-45 cases per day, including general, ENT, eyes, ortho, robotics, vascular, peds, trauma, and other emergent cases. Scrubbing required for RNs; dress code scrubs are provided. OR staff consists mainly of travelers. Floating within outpatient surgery may be required. The unit features a variety of complex cases including neuro spine, burr holes, VP shunts, and joint replacements.
• Shift notes: 10-hour shifts, primarily days with varied start times; self-scheduling is not permitted for travelers but block scheduling is available if it meets unit needs. Call response time is 30 minutes, with on-call duties including one weeknight and one weekend per month.
