Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) clinician in a Level II Trauma Center. This position involves caring for a predominantly pediatric patient population with a variety of cardiac, respiratory, and surgical diagnoses. The role requires delivering high-quality critical care to patients up to age 30, including post-surgical, congenital heart defect cases, and those requiring ventilator and Tracheostomy management. The clinician will work nights, providing essential patient care in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes quick learning, critical thinking, and excellent time management skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, two years of PICU experience, with at least one year in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Units (PCICU).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac patients, surgeries, ventilator and Trach management, aseptic technique, and ECMO or Peritoneal Dialysis experience preferred but not required. EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience is preferred.
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Care for mixed PICU/PCICU patients, primarily in PCICU, with diagnoses including congenital heart defects, post-surgical cardiac patients, respiratory illnesses such as RSV and asthma, trauma cases, and some neuro oncology patients.
• Additional Information: Role involves floating to MedSurg, Emergency Department, or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). No on-call, only standby for low census. Personal scrubs should be solid color, professional, with long hair secured. The position begins on 10/19/2026 and ends on 01/16/2027.
