Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Surgical Nurse in a high-volume healthcare provider. This position involves providing circulating nursing care for orthopedic surgical procedures, including total joint arthroplasties, fracture repairs, arthroscopic and sports medicine surgeries. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of recent full-time experience as a circulating nurse in a similar setting, demonstrating proficiency in orthopedic surgeries. The role requires the ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment, with participation in call coverage and potential for floating to other departments as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Five weekday shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with potential start as early as 6:30 AM, requiring arrival by 5:45 AM.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of three years of recent full-time experience as a circulating nurse in a high-volume hospital setting, with proven proficiency in orthopedic surgical procedures. Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with total joint arthroplasties, fracture repair, arthroscopic, and sports medicine procedures.
- Float: Float rotation may be required based on department needs.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be able to participate in after-hours call coverage during evenings and weekends. Submission requires professional resumes and profiles, two professional references confirming experience, license verification, and completion of the skills checklist.
