Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care in the operating room environment. The role requires independent clinical practice, adherence to safety and procedural protocols, and collaboration with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Location: Not specified
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours shift, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred; BLS certification via American Heart Association (AHA) required; RN License in the state of employment or under a compact agreement; Call required; Weekend requirement; Call required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in operating room or surgical nursing.
- Additional Information: The nurse will practice independently with awareness of all relevant aspects of surgical nursing. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, documenting patient information, assessing learning needs, and providing education to patients and families. The role emphasizes managing complex clinical situations and making appropriate assignments to support optimal surgical care.
