Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) professional serving in a high-volume healthcare facility. This role involves supporting complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures, requiring candidates to have a minimum of three years of recent full-time experience as a Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular Operating Room Certified Surgical Technologist in a busy hospital setting. The position offers an opportunity to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with a schedule consisting of four days per week, from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. The role includes participation in call coverage after business hours and on weekends.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4 shifts, 10.30 a.m. to 9.00 p.m., weekdays (usually Monday through Thursday), with call coverage after hours and on weekends.
- Required Qualifications: Three or more years of recent full-time experience as a Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular Operating Room Certified Surgical Technologist in a high-volume hospital setting; proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures; verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no extensive training was needed; ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex cardiac procedures such as coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, implantable devices, TAVR, adult ECMO, and vascular interventions.
- Additional Information: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in supporting surgeries involving cardiopulmonary bypass and possess current professional licenses, certificates, and skills checklists.
