Located in a metropolitan area, this Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) registered nurse (RN) position involves providing critical care services to pediatric patients ranging from newborns to adolescents. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing complex pediatric medical and surgical conditions, neurological injuries, cardiac care, respiratory illnesses, and ICU-level monitoring. The assignment is for an initial 8-week period, with shifts available in days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Candidates must have at least 3 recent years of Pediatric Critical Care nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population.
  • Experience caring for critically ill or injured children, from newborns through adolescents, with complex medical and surgical conditions including neurological injuries, cardiac issues, respiratory illnesses, and requiring ICU-level monitoring and interventions.
  • All certifications listed below must be completed prior to start date.
  • Certifications required include Active Registered Nurse License, AHA BLS, PALS, NIHSS Certification, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City), and LA County Employee Health Clearance.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse License
• AHA BLS, PALS, NIHSS Certification, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (LA City), LA County Employee Health Clearance
• Minimum of 3 years recent Pediatric Critical Care nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution within a metropolitan city with a diverse population
• Willingness to commit to an 8-week assignment
