Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) care at a healthcare organization. The position entails providing specialized nursing care in a 10-bed progressive care setting with a focus on neuromuscular disorders, stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, surgical resections, and other complex conditions. The role requires managing invasive lines, drains, ventilators, and other post-surgical patient needs, with opportunities for on-call shifts.

Job Details:

Schedule: Rotating shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); experience with arterial lines, ventriculostomies, subdural drains, lumbar drains; proficient in hemodynamic and invasive blood pressure monitoring; experience with Bi-PAP/C-PAP, ventilator management, low-dose pressors, vasoactive medications, mannitol, complex wounds, lines and drains for post-surgical patients; experience in a neurology, neurocritical care, or surgical recovery setting; minimum of 0 years of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Trach and C-PAP patients on ventilators; familiarity with low-dose pressors, vasoactive meds, and inotropes; training in managing complex wounds and drains.
Additional Information: The position involves caring for patients with neuromuscular and neurological conditions, including stroke, TBI, and spinal cord injuries. Candidate must be adaptable to rotating shifts and available for on-call duties.
