Job Summary:
Step Down Unit registered nurses (RNs) are needed for a 12-hour night shift position in a high-acuity acute care environment. The role involves providing specialized care to adult patients with various diagnoses, including cardiac, respiratory, renal, and post-procedural conditions. The healthcare provider seeks a team player with flexibility, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a diverse patient population.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, from 10/12/2026 to 01/11/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications; 2 years minimum RN experience; location requirements; and flexibility to float to Medical-Surgical or Intensive Care Units as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with arterial lines, titrable drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin, and competency in interpreting telemonitor strips.
• Additional Information: Focus on patient experience scores, responsiveness, hospital environment, and medication communication. Candidates should be adaptable, team-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. A one-day unit-specific orientation will be provided.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Rotation & Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday, upfront RTO of 7 days or less per 13-week contract; additional RTO not approved.
• Other Notes: Mandatory overhead lifts, portable lifts, vein finders, bladder scanners, and adherence to dress code in navy blue scrubs.
