Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Float registered nurses are needed to support a busy labor and delivery unit located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for obstetric patients across various stages of labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring safety and comfort for both mother and newborn. The position offers an opportunity to work nights in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility and clinical expertise.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) from AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics), 2 years of labor and delivery experience (post-orientation), certifications must be from recognized organizations
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with transition care nursing of neonates (TCN) is advantageous but not required.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position involves caring for obstetric patients with unit-specific procedures including sterile vaginal exams, FSE/IUPC placement, circulating Cesarean Sections, NSTs, oxytocin induction/augmentation, magnesium sulfate therapy, and insulin drip titration. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adhere to unit policies and guidelines, including attending scheduled shifts, following dress code, and understanding potential shift cancellations based on census.
