The healthcare provider is seeking a Certified First Surgical Assistant for a shift in the surgery department located in Live Oak, Texas. This position involves supporting surgical procedures, including open heart surgeries, and requires managing patient care in a fast-paced operative environment.

Job Details

• Position: Certified First Surgical Assistant
• Location: Live Oak, TX
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 10/26/2026 and ending 01/25/2027
• Required Qualifications: Certified First Surgical Assistant certification, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), OR circulator experience, two years of experience, ability to fulfill rotating call (one night a week minimum, one weekend per five-week schedule minimum)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, or thoracic procedures; flexible, caring, compassionate personality; willingness to scrub open heart procedures
• Additional Information: The role requires ability to work with basic OR equipment including cautery and video monitors, as well as experience with Meditech electronic medical records. Candidates should exhibit a flexible and caring attitude, with the capacity to work in a team environment in a demanding surgical setting.
