Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nurse position located in an acute care facility. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a team dedicated to providing high-quality surgical patient care. The position requires collaboration with nursing staff and adherence to unit protocols for various surgical and medical patient cases.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 1900-0730, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; 2 years of relevant nursing experience; licensed to submit; working on an acute care medical surgical unit.
• Preferred Qualifications: Surgical experience, post-operative care, early ambulation experience, and comfort with first-time travelers.
• Float: Float to medical and telemetry units; assist with strips and medical patient care in those areas.
• Additional Information: Bedside shift report is expected. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during nights, and 1:4-5 during days. Certifications such as BLS are required; experience with common surgical diagnoses and post-op care preferred. The unit functions within a close-knit culture with a focus on teamwork.
