Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Float Position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing patient care within the Medical Surgical units, supporting various specialties on a float basis. The position offers a flexible and dynamic environment suited for adaptable and team-oriented healthcare professionals.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have at least 1 year of Medical Surgical (MS) experience and hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with orthopedic and/or trauma patients is highly desirable.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit handles polytrauma patients, non-surgical cervical fractures cleared by spine, ortho, trauma patients with downgraded traumatic brain injury, no more than three drains, burn downgrades, with Heparin and Protonix drips. The team operates with a patient ratio of 1:5, with flexibility to 1:6, and adheres to a dress code of royal blue scrubs. Staff are expected to be on the unit by 0645 or 1845 for huddles, with a four-weekend commitment and on-call responsibilities as needed.
