Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) - The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care on a Medical Surgical Floor. The role involves working various shifts, primarily nights, in a fast-paced unit that requires adaptability and clinical expertise. The RN will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care in accordance with hospital standards and procedures.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (starting at 1845 and ending at 0715), scheduled for 36 hours per week following an initial orientation period.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Hawaii State license (applicants must have or obtain Hawaii licensure by the start date), BLS certification, ACLS certification. Candidates with PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, or ENPC certifications are preferred.
  • Specific Licensures and Certifications: BLS, ACLS; additional preferred certifications include PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC.
  • Experience: 0 to 10 years of nursing experience in relevant clinical settings.
  • Additional Information: A mandatory orientation will be provided for each unit. The candidate must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment scheduled for the following day. Floating to other units such as Laulima or Cardiovascular on rare occasions may be required.
  • Units/Departments: Medical Unit (77 beds), Laulima Surgical and Acute Care Unit (18 beds), Cardiovascular Unit (15 beds).
  • Nurse to Patient Ratio: Medical Unit 1:6 during days and evenings, 1:8 at night; Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4. Ratios may vary due to unexpected leave.
  • Dress Code: Professional nursing attire consisting of clean scrubs.
