Job Summary
Long Term Care Registered Nurse (LTC RN) in a rural setting. This position involves providing patient care in a long-term care facility with a focus on dementia, Alzheimer's, and other chronic conditions. The assignment offers flexibility for 13 or 26 weeks, with preference given to candidates willing to work various holidays as specified. Candidates must have at least one year of experience, hold an active Alaska license, and be prepared to obtain required certifications during orientation.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shift hours, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. Shifts will be either day or night, depending on facility needs at the time of start.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Alaska license in hand, at least 1 year of clinical experience, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and LTC experience. Candidate must also obtain the Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation, with a one-time fee of $10, at the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, TBIP, Plegics, and cognitive or physical impairments. Experience with accuchecks, implanted glucose sensors, peritoneal dialysis, wound care, and respiratory treatments is preferred.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years). RTO requests are limited to 1 week for 13-week contracts and 2 weeks for 26-week contracts. The position involves floating within scope to meet facility needs, and candidates should be prepared to work in a long-term care setting with a patient census of 40, including diagnoses such as dementia, Alzheimers, and other impairments.
