Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse located in a healthcare organization. This position involves providing patient care in a medical-surgical setting with telemetry monitoring. The role requires adaptability to rotating shifts and supporting a variety of inpatient units, focusing on quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license, 3+ years of related work experience, prior travel experience preferred, current CPR provider (AHA), ACLS (AHA), basic computer skills, Epic electronic medical record experience, level I trauma experience required, orientation scheduled weekly on Mondays, flexibility to provide availability for interviews, any color scrubs accepted, parking may incur costs.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise
• Additional Information: The position supports a float pool covering 15 medical-surgical units with varying patient ratios. Travel nurses work in 2-3 week assignments, with some weeks scheduled with limited notice. No blocked scheduling or specific days off are guaranteed; requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. The work environment involves managing ventilators (by RT or RN), performing 12-lead EKGs, lasix infusions, blood transfusions, telemetry monitoring, and other unit-specific procedures.
