Job Summary
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is sought for a facility position in Winchester, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized care to patients in the pre-operative, post-operative, and PACU environments. The position demands a professional with a solid background in PACU nursing and experience with Epic electronic medical records. The assignment is scheduled to start on October 26, 2026, and will last approximately 13 weeks, with a schedule of days from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., encompassing 36 hours per week.

Job Details

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Virginia State License or Compact, American Heart Association (AHA) certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). At least 2 years of experience in Pre-Operative, Post-Operative, and PACU nursing, with EPIC electronic medical records experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience titrating drips, working with cardiac and multi-specialty patients.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to sister units as needed for helping hands.
• Additional Information: The RN will care for patients primarily within a 16-bed Post-Anesthesia Care Unit with patient ratios of 2:1. No specific equipment is listed; familiarity with EPIC is essential. The dress code standard is navy blue scrubs per facility policy.
• Unit Type: On-campus surgery center with a focus on Geriatric patients for periods of 6 months or longer.
