Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN), Intensive Care Unit Medical in an unspecified location. The position provides care to adult patients in a 20-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) within a Level III trauma center. The role requires floating to Medical/Surgical units and caring for patients with high-acuity conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of continuous adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience, preferably in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), with at least 2 years in one location; active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license, including conditional licenses expiring on or after 12/15/2026; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA); demonstrated telemetry competency; ability to care for adult patients with high-acuity medical and surgical conditions.
• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position supports a broad adult patient population, including patients with substance abuse or overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. Patient assignments may range from 1:1 or 1:2 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to 1:4 or 1:5 when floating to Medical/Surgical units.
