Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in an acute care setting. The role involves providing high-quality patient care for a diverse patient population, including cardiac and respiratory assessments, patient monitoring, and assisting with procedures such as IV starts and lines. The position is based in a facility with a 29-bed telemetry unit, requiring attention to detail and excellent teamwork skills.

Job Details:

• Location: a healthcare provider facility with a telemetry unit featuring 29 private rooms, staffed with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, patient care technicians, and support staff.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications and Education Requirements: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are required. Candidate must have telemetry experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: NIH Stroke Preparedness, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ICU, Telemetry, and PCU experience.
• Responsibilities include blood transfusions, IV starts, central and midline line removals, respiratory and cardiac assessments, and managing high fall risk patients.
• Typical clinical procedures performed on the unit involve patient assessments and intervention support.
• The ideal candidate is a team player, engaged, and self-motivated.
