Job Summary:
Long Term Care nursing leadership position supporting a Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facility located within a hospital and trauma center setting. This role involves overseeing nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing policies, and providing direct resident care. The position requires comprehensive management skills, clinical expertise, and a focus on quality improvement to promote optimal resident outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required upon hire; licensed as an RN in the state of practice; 2-4 years of experience in supervisory positions in long term care nursing or demonstrated leadership/management experience in a long term care facility; approved CPR certification required within 90 days; working knowledge of reimbursement systems and State and Federal Regulations within Long Term Care and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards

• Additional Information: The Director of Nursing (DON) acts as the unit director with shift accountability, responsible for coordinating nursing care activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Leadership responsibilities encompass staff hiring, training, evaluation, and resource management within budget and census guidelines.
