Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) nurse position is available in a healthcare facility located in the region. This role involves providing specialized care to complex Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients, including post-cardiac catheterizations, CVA/TIA management, oncology, and abdominal surgeries. The assignment offers a dynamic environment with a knowledgeable staff and proactive charge nurses, suitable for professionals with strong assessment and critical thinking skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Must hold a current active compact license, AHA BLS certification, NIHSS certification, and a minimum of two years of strong Telemetry/Medical Surgical experience, including at least one travel assignment and trauma level II experience. Recent EPIC charting experience is required and will include a checkoff class.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NG/PEG tubes, PIV insertion, Tikosyn administration, and chest tubes.
• Float: First to float within skill set; cross-campus float to other units with a two-hour notice may be required.
• Additional Information: This position involves caring for complex patient populations, including those with post-cardiac caths, ischemic strokes, ICDs, and complex abdominal surgeries. The unit consists of 32 beds with staffing ratios of approximately 1:4-5 for days and 1:6-7 for nights. The hospital may require precepting of students and new hires.
• Start and End Dates: 11/16/2026 through 02/14/2027.
• Interview Days: Monday through Friday, with MSP interviews.
