Job Summary
Wound Care Nurse, Wound Care Specialty, providing specialized wound ostomy care in an acute care setting. This position supports the hospitals Wound Ostomy (WOC) team by managing patients with complex wounds and ostomies, ensuring quality patient outcomes through expert clinical practice and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) via Emergency Nurses Association Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society; willing to submit license.
- Education Requirements: Not specified.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Wound Ostomy (WOC) nurse.
- Location Requirements: Not specified.
- Shift: Day shift, Sunday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexible scheduling.
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours.
- Responsibilities include managing patients with various wound care needs such as Wound Vacs and Ostomies, supporting the WOC team across multiple hospital units, and adhering to department dress code of royal blue and white.
- Additional Information: This role requires experience as a WOC nurse and involves participating in a 1-week unit orientation, with approximately two shifts canceled per 13-week assignment and one shift for shorter assignments.
