Job Summary
Oncology Clinic Nurse - Chicago, Illinois. This outpatient infusion center serves adult oncology patients with long-term IV antibiotics, injections, blood and platelet infusions, and chemotherapy administration. The role involves providing specialized patient care, administering chemotherapy agents, and managing infusion therapies within a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Job Details

Position Description: Outpatient infusion nurse responsible for adult oncology patient care, including chemo administration, blood draws from ports, and infusion therapy management. The unit features 5 chairs with a patient volume of approximately 10 patients daily.
Required Qualifications: Illinois nursing license, BLS certification, Oncologist National Certification Corporation (ONCC) Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification, chemo administration experience, peripheral IV, Port-a-Cath, and PICC line access skills, minimum 1-year outpatient infusion/oncology experience, comfortable working with adult patients, willing to float to all three infusion centers.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Additional Information: Experience with adult oncology infusion, blood draws from ports, and ability to recognize adverse reactions is preferred. The role includes general orientation, with one shift of unit-specific training. The clinic is closed on major holidays. No weekend rotation or on-call duties. Parking is free.
