Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Day Shift Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within a specialized unit, supervising healthcare team members, and ensuring patient safety and well-being. The RN will follow standardized nursing care plans while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal recovery and discharge planning.

Job Details

• Position Description: The RN maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing individualized care plans, documenting all assessments and interventions, participating in patient rehabilitation programs, and initiating discharge planning and patient teaching. The RN also provides direction and supervision to ancillary staff, delegates tasks appropriately, and contributes to a positive team environment.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification prior to first shift, valid ACLS certification prior to first shift (if applicable), and a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The RN is expected to perform clinical duties following hospital policies, participate in team-building activities, manage supplies and equipment efficiently, and pursue ongoing professional development. The role emphasizes patient and staff safety, fostering a culture of safe practices, infection control, and quality outcomes.
