Job Summary

Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technician in the OR specialty is sought for a short-term assignment at a healthcare facility. The role involves supporting diverse outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures, including orthopedics, neuro, and vascular cases, with potential coverage for one night shift as needed. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment supporting a variety of case types.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, Experience, and Location Requirements: Certification as a Surgical Technician is preferred. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience working in an operating room setting. The position is located at a healthcare facility with a schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. No specific education degree is mandated beyond certification. The role requires compliance with facility policies on licensing (must hold a valid state license, including possibly a compact license) and two recent references covering the last 3 years.
• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Provide sterile support and assist in a variety of surgical procedures, maintain OR standards, and ensure patient safety and protocol adherence throughout cases.
• Additional Information: Candidates may be asked to cover one night shift and be prepared to work on a block schedule with holiday coverage as specified. Must be willing to float between nearby facilities if required. Prior experience with Epic charting system and specific surgical procedures listed is preferable.
