Description
Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) Alaska. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Magnet Facility with Level II Trauma designation. The position requires at least one year of experience in cardiac cath lab procedures, and the RN must have an Alaska license in hand for an immediate start.
Job Details
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required.
- Education: Must have a valid state RN license, with a compact license acceptable, and at least 1 year of relevant experience in cardiac catheterization.
- Location Requirements: Candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility, and local candidates are not accepted.
- Shift: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Schedule: 4 days per week, with on-call requirements including 1 day per week and every 4th/5th weekend, from Friday at 1800 to Monday at 0730.
- Additional Qualifications: Experience with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, Cardiac Stent Placement, Central Venous Access, Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization, Pulmonary Angiography, and other interventional and diagnostic procedures is preferred.
- Responsibilities include assisting with angioplasty, device placements, hybrid procedures, and managing patients undergoing complex cardiac interventions.
- It is acceptable for clinicians to float within scope to Emergency Procedures (EP) or Interventional Radiology (IR) within the department.
- Candidates are required to respond to specific pre-screening questions, including prior work at a Providence facility if applicable, and provide two recent references covering at least one year during the last three years.
