Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse in a rural outpatient surgical center. This role focuses on the admission, discharge, and post-operative care of adult and geriatric surgical patients. The position requires strong assessment, IV, and patient education skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and multitasking in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), RN license, experience with PACU, 2 years of Same Day Surgery experience, and requiring own vehicle.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years experience in Same Day Surgery, working in a rural outpatient facility, with Admitting and Discharge experience, Phase I and II/PACU experience, IV starts, and Cerner Electronic Medical Record experience. Travel experience is highly preferred.
• Additional Responsibilities: Ability to prepare operating rooms for surgery, including pre-op assessments, and step into the operating room to assist as needed.
• Submission Requirements: Detailed work history, skills checklist current to 1 year, recent supervisory reference, and current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications. Candidate must have own vehicle and include permit address in profile.
