Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN), Greenville, NC. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a 32-bed flex unit that manages intermediate and general patients, including oncology, ENT, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery cases. The role requires delivering safe, high-quality care with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association); BLS (American Heart Association)
• Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: RN license (Compact license accepted); minimum 1 year of experience required
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week minimum, for a 13-week assignment
• Position involves caring for oncology patients requiring surgical intervention, along with benign surgical patients and those under plastic surgeon management
• Must be able to read and interpret electronic strips and NIHSS assessments
• References: One reference required
• Additional Information: The position requires self-scheduling with a schedule that includes 6 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle, along with 3 out of 4 holidays.
