Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - located in the area. The Clinical Nurse provides competent nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting, focusing on pediatric patients with complex medical needs. This role involves coordinating patient care utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting patient and family education.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC); 1 year of nursing experience.

• Additional Information: The position supports a shared staffing model between the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Flexibility to work in both units is required. The role involves performing bedside point of care testing, participating in performance improvement activities, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, quality patient care.
