Job Summary
ICU Nurse, Intensive Care Unit, North Charleston, SC This position involves providing specialized critical care to patients in an ICU setting within a busy healthcare facility. The role requires managing ventilated patients, performing advanced procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale; 36 months RN experience, with at least one year in an ICU; associated with the healthcare provider's facility; no minimum years of experience required.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The role involves working in a mixed ICU with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3, including care for post-op CABG patients, neuro procedures, and patients on ventilators. Candidates should be proficient in reading telemetry strips, have advanced skills such as CRRT and advanced Hemodynamics, and be comfortable caring for ICU patients requiring ventilator management. Experience with Meditech documentation system is preferred. The nurse will participate in bedside shift reports, handle emergency procedures, and work in a team-oriented environment. Floating policies and training to become a Neuro ICU or Cardiovascular ICU nurse are part of the departmental offerings.
