PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) Los Alamos, NM. This position involves providing post-operative patient care in a 47-bed acute care facility. The role requires immediate start within 7-10 days of offer acceptance, supporting adult patients recovering from anesthesia, with a focus on ENT procedures such as appendectomy and gallbladder treatment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides specialized post-anesthesia care for adult patients, primarily following ENT procedures such as appendectomy and gallbladder surgeries. The RN will manage patient recovery, monitor vital signs, and ensure safe discharge criteria are met.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), minimum 2 years of PACU experience and 2 years of overall RN experience, location in Los Alamos, NM, with a schedule of day shifts (8 hours) totaling around 40 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior PACU experience, familiarity with preoperative and PACU procedures.
• Shift: Days with some call on nights and weekends. Weekly guarantee of approximately 40 hours. Call is required once notified of a case, with a 30-minute response time.
• Additional Information: This is a shared position with Preoperative care, with no expectation to float elsewhere. The patient population is primarily adult, with occasional ENT procedures. Must have prior PACU experience and be prepared for an immediate start.
