Job Summary
An ICU Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Registered Nurse role is available at a healthcare facility near Springfield, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized care to post percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) patients, post bypass surgery, and those with congestive heart failure (CHF). The role requires current Illinois licensure, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, with open heart experience preferred.

- Position Description:
The RN will deliver cardiac and critical care to adult patients within an ICU setting, focusing on post-surgical and cardiovascular cases. Responsibilities include pulling sheaths, managing CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), and interpreting telemetry strips. The unit is a Level 2 trauma designation, with a 24/7 intensivist/hospitalist presence, and is equipped with ventilators, Cpap, BiPap, and other respiratory equipment. - Required Qualifications:
Current Illinois licensure, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and the ability to interpret telemetry strips. - Schedule:
Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. - Additional Information:
Attention to documentation of hours spent on billable computer modules is required. The unit operates with a telemonitor tech, and RNs are expected to interpret strips. Charting is done using Allscripts. - Submission Requirements:
Candidates must be eligible to submit their license and certify compliance with hospital policies.
